Privacy policy
How Infinity Assistance collects, uses and protects your personal information, including the health and disability information we need in order to support you.
Infinity Assistance is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it in whatever way suits you best.
What we collect
Through this website we collect only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number, suburb, how your plan is managed, and whatever you choose to write in the message.
If you go on to become a participant, we will collect more, including sensitive information as the Privacy Act defines it — health and disability information, your NDIS plan details, and information about the supports you receive. We collect that only with your consent and only because we cannot deliver support safely without it.
Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry and work out whether we can help
- To deliver, roster and review the supports you have agreed to
- To keep the records the NDIS and Australian law require us to keep
- To invoice you, your plan manager or the NDIA for supports delivered
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing. We disclose it only to the support workers delivering your supports, to your plan manager or the NDIA for the purpose of payment, to other providers where you have asked us to, and where the law requires us to — for example to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, or where there is a serious risk to someone’s life, health or safety.
How we store it
Enquiries submitted through this website are stored on the website’s own server in Australia and emailed to us. Participant records are held in access-controlled systems, and only the people who need a record to do their job can see it. We keep records for as long as the NDIS and Australian law require, and then destroy or de-identify them.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. If we later add website analytics to understand which pages are useful, it will be limited to that purpose and this policy will be updated first.
Seeing and correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything that is wrong. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for asking.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us first and we will investigate and write back to you. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
